Contacting your customer

Their number is on the booking. Contact them to say you're on your way, if you're late, if you can't get in, or if something's broken — never to move or cancel a job.

Updated Sep 2, 2026

Once a job is yours, the customer's phone number appears on the booking with Call and SMS buttons.

Good reasons to contact them

  • To introduce yourself the day before a first clean — a short, friendly text goes a long way.

  • En Route does the "on my way" text for you, with your ETA.

  • If you're running late.

  • If you can't find the house, the parking or the key.

  • If you have a question about their notes.

  • If you've broken something.

Never contact them to

  • Reschedule or cancel — use Request a new time or Can't attend this booking? so we can look after them.

  • Arrange work outside Simply Maid. Taking a Simply Maid customer private ends your account.

  • Discuss prices, refunds or complaints — send those to 1300 009 363.

Keep messages short, polite and professional, and sign off with your first name.
